Wednesday 23rd November: Bake-off

Getting practical with some fun and delicious baking at home is a great way to practise mathematical thinking and skills in a real-life context. Students wishing to participate can bake up to 15 individual, delicious, Maths-themed treats to bring to School.

Each class will then have an opportunity to sample the tasty treats to decide upon their Star Baker.

Remaining treats will be sold in the Main Foyer at the end of the School day with all proceeds being donated to Campus Impact. The stalls will be led by some of our Grade 5 students who have generously volunteered from 3.00-3.30pm.

We ask that all Students attach a recipe/ingredient list to their mathematical bake to showcase their measuring skills, as well as important information for Students with intolerances/allergies. Bakes with incomplete ingredient lists will not be able to be sampled or sold.

We also politely remind all families that NLCS (Singapore) is a completely nut-free school and none of the bakes should contain any nuts or nut-based products. Thank you for helping us to keep our community safe.
