Scholar Basketball

Scholar Basketball Academy was founded from a passion for basketball. As a philosophy, they endeavour to spread their knowledge and experiences to the next generation and develop more and more players to excel. The aim is not to just teach basketball, but to seek and create a basketball community.

The programmes on offer to NLCS (Singapore) students aim to develop each individual's basketball skills whilst providing a fun and experience-backed series of sessions. All of the programmes are led by a team of highly qualified basketball coaches that have trained and competed in the top ASEAN leagues.

Guest appearance by 2 x ABL MVP, Wong Wei Long, accompanied by other National Players and Professional Coaches, this clinic is guaranteed to be a fun-filled and enriching event for all! Details are below and we are only opening to the first 20 participants per category.

Dates: 17 to 21st Oct 2022

Timing: 9am to 11:30am

Age category: Under 8, Under 12, Under 16 (Beginners - Advanced)

Students will be split according to the appropriate training category upon the coach's assessment on the first day.

Description: Boys & girls looking to start Basketball as a leisure sport or experienced players looking to hone their skills and gain valuable experience should definitely join us for these week long camp! The camp will feature certified professional coaches who have worked with students of all ages together with a program specially designed to build up fundamentals and concepts of the students!

First Aid: All coaches are first aid trained and have risk assessments in place. There will be no school nurse on site.

Equipment:

Students will need to bring:

  • a water bottle;
  • suitable sports clothing;
  • suitable footwear depending on the sport;
  • Mask and a spare mask;
  • Snack and drink for break time.

Start of the day:

Students should be dropped at the main school reception (Amphitheater) no earlier than 8.30am and no later than 08:55am.

There will be separate areas marked out for each sports camp. (Swimming, Tennis, Football and Basketball).

The coaches and staff from each company will be there to greet you and collect the students to take to their sports area.

End of the Sessions:

Similar to the end of the day in school, students will be brought to the amphitheater to each camp's assigned area to be collected.  Students will start to make their way over for around 12 noon.

COVID- All current COVID regulations will be followed for the duration of the camps. Students will be expected to have a mask on and will be instructed depending on group size when they can take this off.
