FINAL RESULTS OF LINGUISTICS CHALLENGE!

Outline of Event
Students will complete a linguistic challenge based on the Oxford entrance exam for MFL. This challenge asks the students to work out the grammatical rules for a made up language, based on some key phrases.
Houses will be split into 3 teams:
Middle school team
Upper school team
Sixth form team
Each team can have a maximum of 3 participants (9 students per house in total).
Rules and Timings
Students must compete in their own school level team. Teams can not confer between school levels.
Students will have 40 minutes in which to decipher and work out all of the languages grammatical rules.
Scoring
At the end of the round, each teams answers will be collected. Teams will be ranked 1st - 4th in their respective age group based on how many grammatical rules they are able to solve.
Teams will be awarded 4 points for coming 1st, descending to 1 point for coming 4th. Each teams points will be added together to create an overall House score. The house with the highest score is declared the winners.
Results will be announced during Monday assembly!
